Warm-up + snap rhythm
Dynamic movement, quick catches, and Ready… Set… HUT
Practice plan · Monday · Aug 24, 2026
One backfield action, four calls with multiple quick answers: run, counter, selectable quick pass, and boot.
Earlier practice. This teaching outline is kept for reference. Some play names have changed since this practice.
Make every Dash play look the same at the start, then execute Dash, Dash Counter, Dash Quick X/C/Y/U, and Dash Boot with clean timing.
Dynamic movement, quick catches, and Ready… Set… HUT
QB and U rehearse the exact Dash track; meet at the mesh, secure the ball, then get north
Alternate the two calls; U clears the mesh first, X delays, then arrives for the counter handoff
Called outside receiver takes the quick route; C runs the short Speed Out and U settles as the outlet
Same Dash Quick call: C becomes the first read on the Speed Out or U becomes the first read after the fake and settle
Sell Dash, QB stays right-middle behind the line, X drags underneath, and Y is the over-the-top changeup
Players name their assignment on each Dash-family call and the coach names the Dash Quick first read
Coach calls only Dash-family plays; on Dash Quick, coach also calls X, C, Y, or U as the first read
Dash · Dash Counter · Dash Quick · Dash Boot with fast huddles; change the Dash Quick first read each rep
